JAGGED LIGHT

The sky presented an innocent violence.

Gray without anger and absent of winds.

An unborn ray of sunshine slipped between

menacing charcoal clouds; the only light

surrendered by heaven.

Thunder collapsed above,

like the end of all rules exploding.

Jagged sediments of lightening expressed shock.

The beginning of rain flushed people into homes

and buildings.

The signature of the storm slammed the ground,

demanding its space.
